The following offices assist students and families before and during matriculation at MIAD.
Registrar’s Office
The Office of the Registrar provides students with:
- Course enrollment assistance
- Enrollment deadlines
- Tuition adjustment/refund deadlines
- Official transcripts
- Enrollment verifications
- Diploma
- Grade reports
- Information regarding the release and withholding of private information under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), information on residency for tuition purposes, veterans services and more.

Financial Aid Office
The Financial Aid Office:
- Counsels and advises student and parents on financing options
- Processes FAFSA applications for financial aid
- Determines students’ eligibility for financial aid
- Disburses financial aid into student accounts in Business Office
- Adjusts financial aid awards due to a change in family circumstances

Business Office
The Business Office:
- Sends student tuition and fee bills
- Advises students and parents on payment plan options
- Responds to students’ questions regarding accounts
- Receives and processes tuition and fee payments to student accounts
- Authorizes and distributes tuition and fee refund checks
- Monitors students’ payment process to ensure deadlines are met and assesses late payment fees on past due accounts

Penfield Poster 2024 winners announced
Continuing a long-standing collaboration between advertising agency Cramer-Krasselt and the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD), juniors in Illustration IV designed posters for the Annual Croquet Ball fundraiser at the Penfield Children’s Center.
Milwaukee Ballet sponsor features work by Illustration senior
Working through the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design’s (MIAD) Lubar Innovation Center, Illustration senior Kayla VanProoyen was hired to produce an ad highlighting the Milwaukee Ballet’s presenting sponsor, the Herzfeld Foundation.
Löwe: Senior Exhibition 2024
“Löwe,” Zach Scharrer’s ’24 (Product Design) senior exhibition project at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD), is a bespoke adaptive formalwear line designed in collaboration with employees at Independence First.
Forgotten Nation: Senior Exhibition 2024
“Forgotten Nation,” Tanesha Spencer’s ’24 (Communication Design) senior exhibition project at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD), is a guerilla marketing campaign intended to bring awareness to the 5,712 missing and murdered Indigenous women in the United States.
