Brooklyn Henke has been teaching at MIAD since 2013 in the areas of Fine Art, First Year Experience, and Design. She believes strongly in the cultivation of classroom dynamic and the building of experience and skills upon knowledge. Brooklyn loves working with students and faculty, and believes strongly in collaborative teaching methods and constant communication.
Brooklyn is also an illustrator, photographer, and fine artist working in a wide array of materials and subject matter. Her work is in private and public collections, including the Milwaukee Public Museum and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee- and she has drawn and painted anything from small spot illustrations to film and theatre sets. Brooklyn believes in the natural link between exploration, discovery, research, and illustration.
Brooklyn is a member of the Guild of Scientific Illustrators and FATE.
