Travel programs provide students with unique opportunities to broaden their world-view, immerse themselves in another culture and positively influence their work as designers and artists.

MIAD offers faculty-led travel programs for students during the summer and now during the J-Term (January). Past programs have included Italy, Ireland, China, and Paris. Programs currently range in length from 14 days to 4 weeks for 3 to 6 credits. Financial Aid is often available. Most programs are open to students at all levels in all majors.

In 2011/2012, MIAD is offering three different opportunities for students:

• The Humanist’s Guide to London
  January 1 – January 14, 2012
• Shifting Identity: Creative Revolution in China
  May 14 – June 11, 2012 (tentative dates)
• Florence, Italy: Messages and Meaning
  May 16 – June 13, 2012 (tentative dates)
