TMJ4 features two MIAD graduates during AAPI month

Stephanie Brown of TMJ4 News featured recent graduates Mengdian Xing ’23 (Product Design) and her sister Lynn Xing ’23 (Interior Architecture and Design) during a month-long celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage. The two graduates spoke about their senior exhibition projects, their plans after graduation, their experiences at MIAD and their perspectives on studying in a new country.

Mengdian’s senior exhibition project is an app called Unwind that helps pet owners connect with other pet owners in their area. Lynn designed a showroom space for the Audi Showroom in Chicago. Both sisters are staying in the Midwest after graduation with jobs in their respective fields. As students at MIAD, Mengdian and Lynn both expressed their appreciation for the college’s community.
