Senior Exhibition 2025: Chelsea Mody and Isabel Enders

MIAD seniors Chelsea Mody ’25 (Interior Architecture and Design) and Isabel Enders ’25 (Illustration – Animation Track) explore how design engages and supports its users in their capstone projects for MIAD’s 2025 Senior Exhibition.

For Mody, designing an eco-conscious luxury cabin was a foundation to roof experience. “I’ve used the materials that I’ve found on the island itself to make it a sustainable luxury cabin experience,” she explains. No stranger to the hospitality industry, Mody brings a plethora of experience to her project with the aim to design and flip motels. “I have a bachelor’s in Hospitality from back home … and I have an associate’s in Interior Design, and then I am now getting a bachelor’s in Interior Architecture,” she laughs.

Enders set out to create a project that both showcased her skills and produced a meaningful, useful product. “The whole point of the book is so people can have a pretty book to look at, but also something that is functional as well,” she explains.

Reflecting on their senior years, both Mody and Enders emphasize the importance of having a flexible schedule and accepting feedback from instructors and peers. “I have evolved throughout this entire year to be more patient and more accepting of feedback that I’ve gotten … that is what I’m going to take in the future,” says Mody.

“Something else that’s definitely helped me with my whole senior project was my friends and my and other classmates, because I feel like it’s such a community building event,” continues Enders.

“Ambercrest,” Mody’s project, and “More Than Just Soup,” Enders’ project, are on view during MIAD’s Senior Exhibition, April 11 – May 10, 2025.
