Renowned curator Glenn Adamson presents “Make or Break: Inside and Outside the Rules” April 24

Guest speaker Glenn Adamson discusses his current research into the work of two artists/designers and what goes into career-shaping breakthroughs in a talk, “Make or Break: Inside and Outside the Rules,” April 24, 2018, 7 p.m. at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) Student Union. This presentation is free and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served.

Adamson is a senior scholar at Yale University and an independent curator in the design field. He formerly served as curator at the Chipstone Foundation in Milwaukee, curator and researcher at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and director of the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City.

The program is offered in conjunction with the exhibition, Chair5: Five Perspectives on Form, Function and Innovation, which was on view at MIAD through March 3, 2018. The Chair5 exhibition was co-produced by the Chipstone Foundation and MIAD.
