mitchMitch Mortimer ’02 (Illustration) conceptualized characters for the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, as a part of a Chidlren’s Flu Fighter campaign designed to keep kids healthy and safe. The kit contains an assortment of colorful stickers, posters, mirror clings, coloring pages and 98 bottles of Purell with a belt clip attached to them.

“What we try to do is really emphasize to the care providers to help teach, in fun ways, how to prevent the spread of infection,” said Dr. Mike Gutzeit, the chief medical officer at Children’s Hospital.

At The Nurturing Nook childcare center in Glendale, the Children’s Flu Fighters kits seem to be resonating with the youngsters, with a group of four and five year olds contentedly coloring Mortimer’s characters Missy Clean, Captain Cough, Super Sneeze and R&R kid.
