Establishing the Terrence J. Coffman Endowed Scholarship
A Legacy of Creativity. A Future for MIAD Students.
For 20 years, Terrence J. Coffman served as president of the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, helping shape MIAD through innovative leadership into the college it is today.
Coffman believed deeply in the transformative power of art and design education. During his presidency, MIAD achieved accreditation, expanded its academic offerings and established its permanent home in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward. He was not only an educational leader, but also a practicing artist, mentor and lifelong advocate for creative education.
Now, Terry’s daughter, Cori Coffman, is honoring his legacy by leading an effort to establish the Terrence J. Coffman Endowed Scholarship at MIAD. Cori invites family, friends, alumni and the MIAD community to join her in reaching the $25,000 goal needed to endow the scholarship and support MIAD students in Terry’s name for generations to come.

If the $25,000 goal is not reached within five years, the funds raised will be directed to MIAD’s General Scholarship Fund, ensuring that your generosity continues to provide financial support to MIAD students.
