In her role in the Center for Careers, Life and Service at Grinnell College, Dani is excited to support first- and second-year students as they begin their professional, personal, and civic journeys. Her goal is for all students to feel empowered to continually explore their values, strengths, and interests, engage in intentional experiences, and build lasting connections within their communities.

Originally from central Illinois, Dani comes to Grinnell from New York where she most recently served as Library Director for the Newfield Public Library and as an admissions reader for Cornell University’s College of Arts & Sciences. Prior to that, she worked in various roles in residence life at Indiana University Bloomington and Ithaca College.

Dani received her B.F.A. in drawing from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD), and her M.S. in College Student Services Administration from Oregon State University.

An avid knitter and reader, Dani also enjoys long walks around the Grinnell community with her husband, Dennis, who works as the Director of Residence Life at Grinnell College. She serves on the board for the Friends of the Drake Community Library and has three children, the youngest of which is a much adored cat, Lucy.
