Susan McKenna, co-owner and practicing artist at MACMEDIA, previously was a communications and marketing professional at the University of Illinois, with experience in strategic planning; design, writing and editing for digital and print; photography; event support; social media; media/external relations; alumni relations/advancement; and career, writing and design coach and advisor to students. From 2005-2007, she led the communications and marketing for the campus’ first entry in the (U.S. Dept. of Energy) Solar Decathlon, and she chaired the University’s Career Services Council from 2010-2011. Before joining the staff at Illinois, Susan served as vice president of Precision Graphics in Champaign, where she had started as an illustrator. She attended Layton School of Art & Design, graduated from Parkland College and earned a B.S. in Career & Organizational Studies from Eastern Illinois University and an M.S. in Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
