Dr. Kenney has been teaching at the university level since 1993. She has taught at several institutions of higher learning including the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design and the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Dr. Kenney has been teaching at Concordia University since 1998. Her main areas of concentration are design, graphic design, drawing, art history, design history and art education courses. As the creative director for Concordia University Graphic Outlook, an in-house student senior level design firm at Concordia University, Dr. Kenney is responsible for securing and supervising the production of all projects in this program. Through CUW’s Graphic Outlook, students are able to work on full-scale print and web projects for profit and non-profit groups in the community. In addition to her teaching, in 2000, Dr. Kenney wrote the study guides and instructor manuals for Marilyn Stokstad’s Text book, History of Art, published by Prentice Hall. Dr. Kenney has maintained an active presence in the community at large outside of her teaching responsibilities through several different organizations. She is an active member of The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts of the United States. Previously, she owned and operated Xpresso Logic, Ltd. Through Xpresso Logic, Dr. Kenney worked with Milwaukee World Festivals, Inc. as a provider for video image magnification for the Marcus Amphitheater. In addition, Xpresso Logic worked with the House of Blues in Los Angeles doing a large amount of the image capture used in their web casts. Dr. Kenney has also worked with archival film footage for Harley Davidson, Rose Productions and Cabin Fever Productions.A continued interest in painting, drawing, and theater keeps her quite busy and, because of her affiliations with IATSE, she works with the Florentine Opera and the Milwaukee Ballet as a video archivi st and as a set painter during their winter seasons.
