Caitlin (Carroll) Demel is a MIAD Alum with a bachelor’s degree in the Fine Art of Painting. Demel has lived in Texas since 2008 and is the owner of Demel Fine Art. During this time she has been involved with many organizations in the Fayette County Art community and now teaches and manages the Art Department at Flatonia Elementary and Secondary School in Flatonia, Texas.
Caitlin is married to MIAD alum Mathew Demel, a graduate from 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in the fine arts: Drawing. Caitlin and Matt have two children, Lennon and Woodrow. Caitlin decided to get her standard teaching certification in Art through the State of Texas, along with supplemental certification in English as a second language after a rare job opportunity to teach the arts presented itself presented itself in a local school district. Demel is proud to have built this art department from the ground up in the last two years, now providing a quality art education to nearly all grades at Flatonia ISD, PreK – 12th grade, effecting over 400 students so far.
