MIAD / WAEA Creative Educator Award

Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design/Wisconsin Art Education Association Creative Educator Award 2008/09

MIAD, in partnership with WAEA is pleased to announce a new award to recognize a WAEA member/active teacher for his or her exceptional creativity in either implementing or advocating the use of art, design and technology in the art room, computer lab, 3D lab (shop) and across the curriculum. The award recipient will be recognized in the WAEA statewide newsletter for their teaching excellence and will receive a full one week tuition/housing scholarship to attend MIAD’s nationally recognized Creative Educators Institute in Summer 2008. Eligibility: Both an active WAEA member AND an Elementary, Middle/Junior, Senior High School, or College Foundations Level teacher.
Submit: a WAEA Creative Educator Award Scholarship Form and all required support material (listed on downloadable application and guidelines), a letter of supporting nomination, 100-200 word bio and a digital photograph (jpg) for publicity purposes. Submit application by regular mail to:
