TRUE Skool, MIAD partner for Designed Awareness program for teens
MIAD partnered with TRUE Skool and its Designed Awareness program last spring. Students conducted research on topics based on the theme of “How Does Water Connect Us?” The students learned about their connections to water based on historical development, current issues and future issues surrounding water and the community in Milwaukee. The students then applied what they learned to a creative project, such as a painting, poem, song or virtual reality application.
MIAD faculty and students assisted throughout the program. Special thanks to project collaborators Hanson Dodge, Milwaukee Water Commons, Groundwork Milwaukee and the Harbor District Milwaukee.
