Society of Illustrators honors five MIAD students
The Society of Illustrators has accepted a record five MIAD Illustration students and recent alumni to the organization’s 2021 Student Scholarship Competition. Congratulations to Josh Beedy ’21, Emily Bowers ’20, Anja Brandl ’22, Colleen Schinler ’21 and Lindsey Yeager ’21 for their winning entries!
The Society of Illustrators’ Student Scholarship Competition is the largest and most prestigious student illustration competition in the country. Students’ work is submitted by the college’s faculty. From more than 8,700 entries, a jury of professional peers, including illustrators and art directors, select the 300 most outstanding works.
Selected pieces will be exhibited in the Society of Illustrators’ online gallery beginning June 2 and published in a catalog. Scholarship awards are granted to about 25 students whose work is deemed the best of the best.
