Naomi Shersty has been storytelling through words and pictures for as long as she can remember. Her projects have taken the form of photographs, drawings, zines, videos, installations, podcasts, and social practice events like her current passion project: Moonlight Retreat!
Moonlight Retreat is an inclusive summer camp-style weekend event that brings folks together via creative workshops, outdoor activities, and community connection. It encourages self-growth, play, and exploration through art-making, wellness experiences, and time in nature in Southeastern Wisconsin. Moonlight Retreat fosters camaraderie, the arts, play, experiential learning, and a deeper connection with nature, for artists and non-artists alike, within an accessible, inclusive summer camp environment.
