Kevin Kaempf works collaboratively creating projects, events, and publications. His practice values conversation, social spaces, and participatory processes. Kaempf’s projects have included jointly running the experimental community space Mess Hall in Chicago, creating environmental pilot programs in locations throughout the US; and, working with the performance collective Lucky Pierre. Kaempf has exhibited at The Herron Gallery, Indianapolis; The Art Gallery of Knoxville; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; The Smart Museum of Art, Chicago; Hyde Park Art Center, Chicago; Green Lantern, Chicago; White Columns, NY; Live Arts Development Agency, London. Awards include an Illinois Arts Council Fellowship; Chicago Artist Assistant Program Grant. Visiting Artist Residences include Illinois State University; Artist in Residence, Ox-Bow School of Art.
