Communication Design senior lands Nike Internship
Catherine Currie ’23 (Communication Design), a senior at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD), was selected for the highly competitive graphic design internship at Nike. The internship will take place over 10 weeks this summer at Nike’s headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.
Competitive internships awarded to MIAD students and graduates are a stepping stone into future career opportunities, setting graduates and alumni up for success in the workforce. Currie, set to graduate in spring 2023, takes on this professional opportunity after a highly successful college career. She was previously awarded the prestigious Type Directors Club National Scholarship and has gained national recognition for her typography.
Currie, along with her skilled and innovative peers, will be showing work in the 2023 MIAD Senior Exhibition from April 21 – May 6. During the exhibition, MIAD invites the public to celebrate the accomplishments of the class of 2023 and to connect with these emerging creative professionals.
