The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) invites applications for a full-time faculty at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to teach Art & Design History courses in Critical Studies.
We seek a colleague with a demonstrated commitment to dynamic and innovative undergraduate curriculum grounded in inquiry, research, writing, and discourse. The ideal candidate will be a curious, engaged, and motivated educator who thrives in a creative environment focused on mentoring emerging artists and designers. We are particularly interested in applicants whose teaching or research portfolio addresses areas of global art and design history.
We value candidates who will be invested members of the MIAD community, active contributors to departmental life, and engaged participants in the broader Milwaukee community.
This position will begin Fall 2026. Teaching duties include nine (9) credits per semester (three courses), in addition to academic advising and committee responsibilities. Rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience.
