CAMPUS TOUR COVID-19 PROTOCOL & PRECAUTIONS

We are taking proactive steps to ensure the health and safety of our community amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Please review the following COVID-19 precautions so you know what to expect during your upcoming campus visit. Please note that all in-person campus visits require advance registration.

PLANNING FOR YOUR VISIT

    • While we look forward to meeting with you, tours are currently limited to the admitted student and two guests from within your immediate household. We also recommend that at-risk people, as identified by the CDC, stay at home for their safety.
    • Campus visits are limited to 45 minutes.
    • Some campus spaces have occupancy limits at this time. We will do our best to ensure you see spaces important to your interests, but the tour may be abbreviated.
    • Masks are required at all times. Masks must be worn properly, covering both one’s mouth and nose. Scarves, gaiters and bandanas are not acceptable.
    • If you have any COVID-like symptoms – fever, cough or shortness of breath, no matter how mild, or if you have been in contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19 – please do not come to campus. Visitors who display symptoms on arrival will be asked to reschedule.

DURING YOUR VISIT

    • Our staff will be wearing masks, and in some cases face shields, and we ask that you observe all COVID-19 precautions as directed.
    • Masks are required at all times. Masks must be worn properly, covering both one’s mouth and nose. Scarves, gaiters and bandanas are not acceptable.
    • Visitors must check in at Security inside MIAD’s main entrance and complete a COVID-19 waiver form which includes contact tracing information upon arrival. Contract tracing information is required of all tour participants.
    • A temperature check is required. Temperature self-check stations are located in the entrance.
    • Please maintain social-distancing standards (a minimum of 6 feet of distance when possible) while inside the building.
    • Pre-packaged materials will be available for you upon arrival.
    • We will walk and talk during your visit. For extended conversations or to meet with our Financial Aid Office, we are happy to set up a virtual meeting after your visit.
    • All viewings of MIAD’s Student Apartments, Two50Two, are currently virtual for the safety of our students and guests.
    • Restrooms will be available for use during your visit.
