Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) seeks qualified candidates to fill two (2) full-time faculty positions to teach in its First-Year Experience (FYE) program. The college is looking for outstanding educators who can prepare students to be pioneering thinkers and practitioners of 21st century art and design. Candidates must embrace teaching first-year students and be actively engaged in their studio practice. Teaching at MIAD is learning-centered and student focused. It requires a clear commitment to working closely with undergraduate art and design students by integrating studio learning, critical discourse, exhibition of work, and a commitment to integrated learning. These positions will begin in the fall of 2020. Teaching duties are nine (9) credit hours of studio-based courses per semester as well as academic advising and committee responsibilities. Salary and rank will be determined by candidate’s teaching and professional experience.
