Scott Taylor graduated from the MIAD with BFA in Illustration with an emphasis in painting, drawing and photography. Taylor received his MFA in Painting, Drawing and Digital Media from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His work has been
presented a variety of Digital Imaging publications and supplied digital artistry to the Projekt Music Label out of San Francisco CA and Timeroom Recordings for Steve Roach Productions in Tucson AZ. His creative practices range from conventional media such as painting, drawing, photography and collage to artistry within the digital envelop – from digital 2D with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign towards digital 4D time-based media such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, stop motion animation, time-lapse photography, motion graphics and digital rotoscope animation. Scott has a deep commitment to the profession of teaching higher education and his own digital creativity which hybridizes conventional media with digital media. Currently a lead instructor for MIAD’s First-Year Experience teaching topics in Digital 2D & Digital 4D practices, Scott is also an active instructor for MIAD’s Continuing Education Programs and the MIAD Creative Educators Institute instructing a wide range of topics from digital painting, night photography, digital collage and vector art.
