MIAD contracts with The Park at 1824 for student housing. Traditional, out-of-area students are required to live in The Park at 1824 for their first year, which aids students in building community with their MIAD peers. The Park at 1824 is located approximately three miles from MIAD with dedicated daily shuttle service and is also conveniently located on a direct bus line to MIAD.

The Park at 1824 residence is an environmentally ‘green’ apartment style structure designed and built exclusively for college students. This unique residence utilizes a suite concept with two to three bedrooms per unit that house three to four students. Each unit shares a common kitchen and living room, and has private and/or common bathrooms. All suites come fully furnished and include a 42” flat screen television. The kitchen includes a stainless steel amenity package complete with range, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. Leases include all utilities (electric, gas, water, trash, cable and wireless internet).

The Park at 1824 also has a large central recreational area with a pool table, foosball table and several large flat screen televisions. There is also an exercise room, on-site laundry facilities and common study areas on each floor. The building has controlled access, requiring a resident key card to gain access.

In addition to all of The Park at 1824's amenities, MIAD provides a staff of Resident Assistants, as well as a Residence Hall Director, to conduct programs and bring a strong sense of community to the residents and their new home.
