The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) is a private, non-profit corporation chartered by the State of Wisconsin for the purpose of providing a professional education to students of the visual arts and related fields. The college offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication Design, Drawing, Illustration, Industrial Design, Integrated Studio Arts, Interior Architecture + Design, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture and Time-Based Media. The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), one of two Commission members of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA) (www.ncacihe.org or 312-263-0456). MIAD is also an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art & Design (NASAD). The BFA degree of MIAD is approved by the Wisconsin Educational Approval Board under Title 38, U.S. Code, for the training of veterans.
