Student Health Insurance
All MIAD students are enrolled in a student health insurance program through WPS Health Insurance. The insurance covers all services provided at the Marquette University Student Health Center at no additional cost to MIAD students. Click here for more information about WPS Health Insurance. Marquette Student Health Service
All students who have WPS Health Insurance through MIAD are eligible to receive health care services at the Marquette University (MU) Student Health Service. Marquette University’s Student Health Service is equipped to diagnose and treat most outpatient conditions. Students with major medical health issues or health issues requiring specialized care will be referred to consultants at their own expense.
Full-time MIAD students who pay the MIAD health fee are eligible to receive all services at the MU Student Health Service without additional charge. The mandatory health fee for full-time students for the 2012-13 academic year is $657. Part-time students do not pay the health fee and will be billed for services provided by the Marquette University Student Health Service.
Free and confidential immediate and short-term Counseling Services are available to MIAD students at the Marquette University Counseling Center. No problem is too small. A variety of educational materials and special programs such as stress management, weight control and alcohol and drug abuse programs are available

Students can also contact Marquette directly by calling 414-288-7172 for the Counseling Center and 414-288-7184 for the Health Clinic, and identify themselves as a MIAD student. Maps and directions to the Marquette Campus are located in both Jennifer’s & Sara’s offices and in Student Services (Room RL-45).

Parent Involvement Protocol
MIAD may contact a parent/guardian when there is a serious health, safety or misconduct concern. This protocol provides an opportunity for MIAD to partner with a parent/guardian to assist students who may be struggling with an issue affecting their success.
