Why Give?

MIAD is committed to providing students a transformational educational experience that is recognized by the business and arts communities for meeting the ever-changing demands of our creative economy.

No other institution of higher learning was evoked as often for its influence, visibility and role in helping to nurture and sustain the creative talent in general, and design talent specifically, needed for the Milwaukee region’s creative economy.

Michael Kane, Senior Associate, Mt. Auburn Associates, worldwide experts on economic growth and workforce development following research for the Milwaukee Regional Creative Industries Project.

  • 96% of MIAD students receive financial support through scholarships and other forms of aid.
  • One-quarter of MIAD students break new ground every day as the first in their family to attend college.
  • Community recognition of MIAD students’ talents – and the students’ deep ties to our community – are the reason 80% of MIAD graduates choose to drive innovation in Wisconsin, at leading corporations and non-profits, or as entrepreneurs who hire locally but serve clients worldwide.

But tuition only covers a portion of the cost to educate a MIAD student. Each year, the college’s Scholarship Fund, as well as gifts from businesses, private foundations and government agencies, help keep cost from being a barrier to a MIAD education and ensure that MIAD continues its leadership in education innovation and excellence.
