MIAD's Continuing Education program is a non-credit program covering both fine art and design disciplines as well as special interests and travel. This program offers a variety of opportunities for professional development and personal enrichment for over 2000 students each year.

These activities include skill and discipline-specific classes, lectures and other special presentations, and opportunities for educational travel.

Courses are offered during spring, summer, and fall on weekdays, evenings, and weekends, ranging from one-day workshops to 10-week studio investigations.

Courses are developed to meet the needs of a broad audience from adult learners with little or no previous art experience to professional artists, designers, and alumni.

Almost all programs are currently taught at MIAD's main facility, with occasional offerings off-site.

Of particular value to the Milwaukee professional community are courses in various computer-design applications, including desktop publishing, multi-media, animation,web design and 3-D modeling.

Certificates in Desktop Publishing and Web Design are available to students completing a sequence of computer courses. A dedicated 15-station Continuing Education lab services most of the computer courses.
