Tuition for the 2008-2009 academic year is $24,100. The cost per semester is $12,050.

MIAD bills students for each semester's tuition separately (most MIAD students attend fall and spring semesters). Tuition invoices are usually mailed to students about one month before the start of each semester. If you have completed the MIAD financial aid process, one-half of your total award amount will be applied to each semester's tuition bill. Financial aid and scholarship awards will be credited to your "student account" each semester. After your awards are credited, you may still owe charges.

Tuition payments are due upon receipt of the invoice. Students may be assessed a late charge of $50 per semester after the first week of classes if satisfactory payment arrangements have not been made. Students who have not made satisfactory financial arrangements will not be allowed to register for subsequent semesters and may have their current registration cancelled.

In addition to financial aid and scholarship awards, another payment option is a monthly payment plan available through MIAD/TuitionPay Plan. Many students and families participate in the MIAD Payment Plan. The MIAD Plan allows a remaining balance to be spread out over the academic year. For example, if a student has a remaining balance of $2500 (after personal payments, scholarships, and financial aid have been subtracted from the direct cots), the balance could be divided into ten payments of $250 each.
