A computer network establishes a community. In any community, especially one
as tightly linked as an electronic network, individual decisions can have a
powerful and immediate impact on a many people. Communities develop rules to
ensure the rights and privileges of members are protected. For this reason,
MIAD has developed these rules so electronic interactions can be orderly and
mutually respectful.
- Use of the MIAD technology is a privilege rather than a
right.
- Students are not allowed to use MIAD resources for outside consulting,
private business enterprises or for work for another institution or person.
- Food, drink, cell phones, and children are NOT permitted in or near computer
facilities.
