Is tailored to connect to each school's curricular needs and to help
them to meet the state standards with cross-disciplinary projects.
Introduces students and their teachers to design careers, pre-college
experiences, technology training, writing and creative problem solving projects.
Gives 6-12 grade students the opportunity to work closely with a diverse
group of MIAD degree students who have chosen design majors.
Gives 6-12 grade students the opportunity to work closely with MIAD
faculty, professional artists and designers as visiting instructors.
Helps build strong and ongoing relationships between MIAD and the K-12
community, and invites K-12 teachers and students to utilize MIAD as a rich
and ongoing resource.
Supports teachers who have attended MIAD's Creative Educator's Institute
(CEI) or those who are interested in innovative approaches to the curriculum
to implement design and technology projects in their classroom curriculum.
