You’ll find technology abundant at MIAD. Our computer to student ratio
is significant at 1:3. In MIAD’s main building on the second floor, there
are eight academic computer labs with 140 workstations. Institutional Technology
staff and their student monitors are available for assistance in the labs. The
labs are the following:
- Open Lab 14 computers (Y10A) –available to all MIAD students
- Foundations Lab 22 computers (Y10B)
- Communication Design Lab 20 computers (Y25)
- Continuing Education Lab 20 computers (Y30)
- Industrial Design Lab 16 computers (Y35)
- CAD Lab 19 computers (Y45)
- Photo/Video Lab 12 computers (Y100E)
Over 35 additional computer resources for specific courses are located throughout
the school. The are Visual Resources studios (1st Floor Blue Level), Industrial
Design studios (1st Floor Blue Level), Fine Arts Area (3rd Floor Green Level),
and the Illustration area (4th Floor Purple Level). Computers are also available
for all students within the Library and Student Union for Internet and email
access.
