Jan Feldhausen has been Dean of the Foundations Division since 1992. Prior to her appointment as Dean, she was a full-time foundations faculty member. She continues to teach in the 2-D/Color curriculum of the Foundations Division. Her most current personal artwork is created using acrylic paint on paper. She is interested in exploring themes of chance, luck, concealment, and deception in the colorful paintings. She is active in the national organization of foundations educators, Foundations in Art:Theory & Education (FATE), serving as a regional coordinator. She also serves as Vice President for the FATE's 2007 Biennal Conference, which will be hosted by MIAD in March 2007.
