I've been making pictures professionally for about 20 years; you can
see the kind of portraiture I do on my website. I love to work with
artists, and folks in the music and entertainment industry, both in my
studio and on location. My fine art is currently comprised of two
bodies of work: b/w infrared images that I hand-tint, and colored (or
hand-colored) collages of imagery, text and photograms built on the
enlarging easel (or on the computer screen).
This picture of me was made by my dear friend and filmmaker colleague,
Heidi Spencer, during the filming of a documentary about me. (I'm in
pictures!) Do not be misled by the outdoor environment where this picture was
taken; I was making a portrait of a musician friend, on his land in
rural Tennessee. I'm a city gal through and through. Ask me to go
camping, and I'll agree only if there's a place to plug in my hair
dryer.
