I encourage my art history students to participate in challenging, and at times fun activities designed to help them find their own analytical voice and make their own connections within the art of past and present.

Natanya Blanck is Associate Professor of Art History at MIAD.

She earned Bachelors of Arts and Masters of Arts degrees in Art History from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee.

Ms. Blanck’s commitment to student education and wellbeing inspired her to be co-founder of MIAD’s Art History Advocates group (AHA!). She is also one of the organizers of the Foundations Art History Lecture Series. Her love of teaching has taken her twice to Florence, Italy, as one of the leaders of the school’s 4-week summer International Study group (see photo with Michelangelo’s David, one of her favorites!).

Aside from teaching, Natanya serves on the boards of two local organizations dedicated to fostering art and art education: the Walkers Point Center for the Arts and Artist Working in Education.
