“My approach to the teaching of writing reflects my identity and commitment as a
working writer. At all levels of the MIAD curriculum, from Intro to College Writing
through Senior Writing Seminar, I seek to engage the creative curiosity of students, and
to emphasize the myriad ways in which writing fosters and structures learning.”
Judith Harway’s books of poetry include The Memory Box (2002) and All That is Left (forthcoming in 2009). Her work has been published in dozens of literary magazines, and
has earned fellowships from the Wisconsin Arts Board, the MacDowell Colony, and the
Hambidge Center. She is Associate Professor of Liberal Studies at Milwaukee Institute of
Art and Design.
