Curated by MIAD's Director of Galleries, Mark Lawson, this exhibit includes artists Gabe Lanza, Keith Nelson, Reginald Baylor and others. The revolutionary changes in art that occurred at the beginning of the 20th century radically altered the manner in which art was produced. In this period a vocabulary was created which, in the current era, is manifested from a different point of view. The artists in this exhibition produce work which communicates through differing aspects of modernist vocabulary while bringing to their art production contemporary motivations and perspectives.
