Creator of Harley-Davidson's legendary Eagle on the Bar-and-Shield logo, freelance designer/illustrator Paul Smith has designed graphics for the the Harley-Davidson Motor Company for almost thirty years. Spanning Smith's entire career, this exhibit features the famous Liberty Edition commision for America's Bicentennial in 1976, showing the many stages of the graphic design process, from initial sketches to finished decals mounted on faring and gas tanks.

Paul Smith is an alum of the Layton School of Art, MIAD's predecessor institution.
