Tom Nakashima is a multi-disciplinary artist who works in painting, printmaking, and sculpture.
He is a Professor Emeritus from Catholic University in Washington, D.C., and currently William S. Morris Eminent Scholar in Art at Augusta State University in Georgia. Nakashima received numerous awards, including the Joan Mitchell Foundation Award for painters and sculptors and the Mid-Atlantic NEA Regional Visual Arts Fellowship. He has exhibited internationally and his work is included in over 50 public permanent collections.
