Topics in Historical Art: 1400 to 1900 is a course in which a number of themes in historical Western and Non-Western art are examined, with emphasis on East-West cultural and artistic exchanges. Through intensive reading, AH111 introduces students to key art objects, creators and art from 1400 to the post World War II era. Through intensive reading, writing and oral projects, students will learn to identify key works of art from this period by artistic, cultural and critical criteria.
