What are the benefits to starting in the spring?
For first-time freshman students, the spring semester is the perfect time to start. If you attend full-time in spring and full-time in the summer semester, you can be a full-standing sophomore by Fall 2012, just as if you started in Fall 2011. It's a great opportunity for a student who got a late start.
For transfer students, each situation is different; for some students spring may be the perfect start time, for others it may make sense to wait until fall. The best way to determine this is to complete the admissions process and work one-on-one with a transfer admissions counselor.
Where do I begin?
You've decided to go to college, but you don't know where to begin. Perhaps you planned to attend in fall, but things got in the way; perhaps you are a transfer student, ready for a change. Or maybe you have been away from school for a few years, and know now is the time. Wondering how to start and feeling overwhelmed are very common feelings for a prospective student. While the January semester is right around the corner, you still have time to gather important information you need to help make a well-informed decision. There are plenty of people at MIAD willing to assist you with any questions you may have. Contact us toll-free 888-749-MIAD or 414-291-8070, or email us at
