On-Campus Employment

On-campus jobs are available in a number of departments throughout the MIAD community. They include: Galleries, Computer Labs, Library, Student Union, Dining Cafe, Maintenance, Residence Hall, Learning Resource Center, Reception Desk, Printmaking, Photography, 3-D, and Sculpture Labs, Career Services, Financial Aid, Admissions, Communications, Institutional Advancement, Campus Life, Pre-College, and others. The demand for on-campus jobs is high. We cannot guarantee an on-campus job to all students who are seeking employment. We encourage students to be open with their options. Students who are willing to work in a variety of departments will have a better chance of securing an on-campus job. Students are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week (total of all jobs on-campus) during the academic year.

On-Campus Job Postings
On-campus jobs are posted near the suite where Career Services is located –Suite 275. On-campus positions can also be found on CanvassCareers. Most on-campus positions require a standard on-campus student employment application. Applications are available in the Career Services office, with the direct supervisors, and on CanvassCareers. Apply and interview directly with the appropriate supervisor as indicated in the job postings. Contact Career Services with any questions.

Federal Work Study (FWS) Program
The Federal Work Study program provides need-based financial aid to students that allows them to earn money by working part-time on MIAD's campus. When a student is eligible for FWS, his or her chances of being hired on-campus may increase. Questions regarding FWS eligibility should be directed to the Financial Aid office.

Timesheets
All on-campus employees clock-in hours through our on-line ADP payroll system. Your supervisor will train you on how to use the system.

Getting Paid
Paychecks are available on the 15th and 28th of every month from the Human Resources Office located in the R45 office suite on the River Level. Direct deposit of checks into a checking or savings account is available.
