Join us In celebrating Professor Jill Sebastian's contributions to MIAD! 

MIAD honors Jill Sebastian at the 6th annual MIAD Define event, Wednesday, April 27, 
4 p.m. Alumni are invited to join in the celebration and extend their well-wishes.

Jill Sebastian, Professor of Sculpture at MIAD, is retiring after 28 years of educating artists and serving as an important influence at the college. Sebastian's installations, drawings and interdisciplinary collaborations have been shown in cities throughout the country. She has done site-specific collaborations at venues such as the Milwaukee Art Museum, as well as numerous public art commissions. Sebastian has been a National Endowment for the Arts Grant recipient and an active advocate for public art in Milwaukee and Wisconsin.

MIAD's Senior Exhibition runs April 15 - May 14, 2016 
Theresabeth Whitfield '10 (Photography) completes her MFA at Southwest University of Visual Arts and begins the PhD program in art theory at the Institute for Doctoral Studies in Visual Arts.
Three MIAD alumni, Troy Landwehr '98 (Communication Design), Zak LaCrosse '98 (Communication Design) and Bill Zoelle '98 (Illustration), reconnect through a common client, Festival Foods. Festival Foods works with Landwehr for his cheese carving skills, LaCrosse for his photography and website help and Zoelle as creative director at Envano. Their services coordinate to help make store openings successful.

Studio Blip, in Suite 517 in the Marshall Building, 207 E. Buffalo, has approximately 175 sq. ft. of floor space and 235 sq. ft. of hanging system equipped gallery display area available for rent on a month-to-month basis. Studio Blip has a large double-bowl utility sink and track lighting with supplementary fluorescent fixtures. All utilities except internet and phone are included in the rent.

Starting May 1, 2016 be ready for Gallery Weekend for only $165 per month!
